Creative Copy for
Businesses That Care

Reach potential clients and customers
with clarity and empathy—not manipulation

Running an ethical business is important to you.

You care about your business and want it to thrive. You also care about how you treat your customers and clients. You're allergic to the experience of being sold to (gross) and you don't want to become what you hate.

To be honest, you wish you could just avoid the whole marketing thing altogether.

But you realize if people have no idea that you exist, there won't be any customers or clients for you to treat well.

Also? You're proud of what you do!! You think it's good for the world! You wish there was a way to let people know what you have to offer without resorting to manipulative sales tactics.

It's possible for marketing to feel aligned with your values. It can even be fun.

You know that feeling you get when you're talking about something you believe in and are excited about? How you get energized and lit up from the inside? How people can't help but want to hear more about what you have to say—because your passion is contagious?

That's what marketing can feel like: a conversation, not a pitch.

Just you speaking with clarity and enthusiasm about what you have to offer.

You want people who visit your website to feel inspired, intrigued, seen, understood, and welcomed. NOT pressured, manipulated, or persuaded. You know a website is essential for your business, but you don't have the time, interest, or skill to make it happen.

That's where I come in.

Hi. I'm Fara.

Copywriter. Poet. Celebrant.

Former Therapist.

I help service providers and creative entrepreneurs find the right words so their ideal clients and customers can find them.

"Fara was such a pleasure to work with on my website copy and design. She was attentive and thoughtful as we talked through my vision, and put my thoughts into words in a way I wouldn't have been able to do on my own. Fara is so easy to connect with. She's warm, engaged, and acutely attuned. I greatly appreciated her integrity, compassion, and follow through. She was thorough and checked in with me every step of the way. I believe the combination of her former experience as a therapist, talent in storytelling, and ability to transform a jumble of thoughts, feelings, and ideas into coherent, intentional prose and poetry make her an incredible copywriter. I couldn't recommend her enough!!" - Emily Berry, LPC emilyberrycounseling.com

What's a former therapist doing as a copywriter?
When approached ethically and humanely, there's surprising amount of overlap in these fields.

Marketing is communication. It's telling people who you are, what you have to offer, and what you stand for.

It helps you develop relationships with potential clients and customers and build trust by letting them know what to expect and then following through.

Copywriting is about making a connection with your audience, which requires empathy. If done well, people will feel seen and understood.

"Fara is so easy to talk to and helped me put words and ideas to a bio I was struggling with. She brings great expertise and experience, and has an authentic quality that made the work enjoyable. I spent weeks agonizing over copy that took her only a couple conversations to perfect. I highly recommend!" - Kris. K., Freelance Voice Actor

Why Hire a Copywriter?
You hate to write or aren't particularly good at it.
You don't have the time or mental space to devote to your website.
You've been procrastinating finishing (or starting!) your website for a long time...

Your website isn't attracting any business OR it's attracting people who aren't a good fit.
You have a website but it's bland, boring, and generic. it doesn't stand out and it doesn't feel like YOU.
Writing about yourself or your business makes you squirm. It's hard for you to articulate why people should hire/buy from you.
You're rebranding, pivoting, starting a new business, or introducing a new product, service.

Why Hire Me?
Here are a few unique things I bring to the table:
former therapist
How this shows up in my work as a copywriter:

-ethical and values-based approach

-ability to "step inside" your clients or customers shoes*

-I can bring clarity to the fuzzy picture in your mind through carefully crafted questions and an ability to hear what you're saying and not saying

-genuine desire to help you meet your goals

-understanding of how things like anxiety and impostor syndrome can be barriers to marketing

-I use trauma-informed principles in our relationship and in the way I treat your potential clients or customers

-bonus for therapist clients: I understand your field from the inside—as a client and provider

*All marketing benefits from an ability to understand and accurately articulate customer or client pain, needs, and desires. The difference is in how this information is used.

I
nstead of using my super-powered empathy to exploit your audience. I'll use it to help you connect with them.
poet
Metaphors and similes are powerful tools in copywriting.

I can infuse your copy with evocative imagery and language that engages the senses and emotions.

In poetry, every word is chosen with intention and there is no room for excess. This translates well into copywriting where too many words  = people scrolling away.

I'm a lover of language. I delight in stringing words together in unique ways to sparkle, soothe, inspire...or anything else you want them to do!
professional over-communicator
I'm responsive and extremely thorough. You will never wonder about the status of your project or worry I've ghosted you.
copywriting chameleon
When writing for myself, I use storytelling, humor, and a conversational style.

If I'm writing for you, I can still do all those things! But I'm a shapeshifter and can match the unique voice and vibe of your business.
Read more about Fara
"Fara came in at a time when I barely understood why I needed a copywriter and completely turned my thoughts, ideas, and passions into sense. For a neurodivergent, overthinking, creative, everything Fara asked me to chew on soon became a point of importance—not only on my website, but also in how I think and talk about my work!  Fara's compassion, patience, thoughtfulness, laser-sharp mind, need to have things "feel good" to all parties involved, intuition, experience and prior career as a therapist ALONG WITH her deep talent as a wordsmith is genius. I not only respect her work—I respect and like Fara as a human being. Triple yes to working with her and yes for more people with humility, nobility and goodness like Fara Tucker." - Dr. Jennifer Mullan - Writer, Public Speaker, Scholar-Activist, Psychologist, The Rage Doctor, Founder of Decolonizing Therapy

"The questions Fara proposed helped me to distill my mission and the essence of my practice in a way I didn’t think was possible. She also helped me clarify policies through reflective commentary, and gave me a place to safely practice wording ideas and intentions. Even when some of my original copy was free-flow out of my brain, she was able to add a finesse and direction that I struggled to find. My website is everything I hoped for and more, and Fara’s copywriting and copy editing skills are a big part of that." - Samantha Paquette, LMT Owner of Lavender Moon Wellness
